Back when we met in person for classes at the end of live Saam workshops a clinical encounter was conducted so students could observe all the unspoken aspects of the tradition.
The pandemic suspended this important part of the presentation, but thanks to our modern technology we can stream this experience as a Digital Internship.
The Digital Internship will present an intake, diagnosis, treatment, and discussion of a patient in real time. This presentation will allow participants to sharpen their observation skills as well as discuss with the presenter and their colleagues all aspects of a clinical encounter, from start to finish.
In this real time digital internship we will:
- Present an intake, diagnosis, treatment, and discussion of a patient in real time
- Allow you to sharpen your observation skills
- Discuss with Toby and your colleagues all aspects of a clinical encounter
- Learn how to enhance your observation skill set

Your Instructor For This Class
During my four years of training in San Francisco, I interned with Dr. Angela Wu who taught me how to apply the lofty theories I was studying in school into the pragmatic setting of a busy clinic.
In 2013, I developed the Chinese Nutritional Strategies app to provide digital access to the wealth of Chinese dietary wisdom. In 2016, proving once again that some people never learn, I completed a PhD in Classical Chinese Medicine under the guidance of 88th generation Daoist priest Jeffery Yuen.
My current focus is on sharing my 20 years of clinical experience with the Saam tradition.
