Qiological Live
Introduction to Stems and Branches

This introduction to Stems and Branches (aka Five Movements and Six Energies, wuyun liuqi 五運六氣) contextualizes the foundations of practice.

We will look at the world of space and time, in terms of Five and Six, in detail. We will begin to open a door onto the universe, an ordered and constant cosmos, which follows natural laws that can be determined.

By understanding the cyclical nature of time and space we will start to learn about Stems and Branches, which are the thread that weaves together many aspects of Chinese thought. This 90 minute webinar is a necessary introduction to the two following webinars focusing on Stems and Branches individually.

In this real time event we will
  • Learn about the interconnectedness of classical Chinese understanding of space and time
  • Understand more about the underlying laws of the universe
  • Begin to notice the cyclical nature of space and time
  • Explore how space and time are expressed in the body
