The longer I practice, the more I realize that the The longer I practice, the more I realize that there are some fundamentals we often talk about that in truth, I have either little understanding of or outright confusion. This idea of intention, what it is and how it plays out in our work. That would be one of those. The most perspective on cultivating our attention rather than intention is like having a horizon line to help orient up from down.

That attention can help with seeing what’s unfolding in the moment instead of trying to fit the ever unfolding phenomena of the world into a mental model or idea. Attention speaks a kind of receptivity that allows for informed action and opens a door into the way, way the doing of not doing. And most of all, that we don’t have to dedicate our lives to unceasing cultivation to be a pretty good doctor, we can cultivate enough and leave room for a full human life.

That to me, sounds like something that’s within my reach.

Join us on our latest episode of 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙, as we delve into the topic of the 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙖𝙗𝙗𝙞𝙩 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 and the importance of 𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, as the cultivation of attention can help with understanding the ever-unfolding phenomena of the world and how it can lead to informed action and a deeper understanding of the concept of “𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨.” Discover how you can cultivate enough to be a good practitioner without dedicating your entire life to it. Tune in now to gain new perspectives and insights on this topic.

In our trade, we talk a lot about cultivation, abo In our trade, we talk a lot about cultivation, about caring for ourselves in such a way that we can develop more capacity and be of more service to those who seek our assistance. The thing about cultivation is that it's not about trying to get something, it's about growing into a kind of a capacity.

It's not about gaining power over, but developing more resonance and coherence with.

As we come up to the Chinese New Year, that moment of turning from the obvious winter to the still unseen spring. We pause for 10 days to consider the undulating tides of yin and yang and the dance of the 12 earthly branches as expressed in the 12 animals of the Chinese cosmological Zodiac.

This week, a conversation with 𝒢𝓇𝑒𝑔𝑜𝓇𝓎 𝒟𝑜𝓃𝑒, who for the past few years has authored an in-depth look at the symbols, influences, and energies that we will encounter in the coming year. The water rabbit, which sounds soft and gentle, and to some degree it is, but we're looking at yin within yin, and the water here is deep and primordial, and within the deep water, well… it can get a little weird.
